This 15th rally of the E.Y.B.S. was again a great success. Two countries made a strong comeback after 6 years of absence : Switzerland and Spain which rank respectively at the 1st and 2nd place in the team section. Belgium with its Wal’Holstein team performed also extremely well (3rd place). Germany had 5 teams and represented almost a 25 % of the participants.
The big winner 2015 is the Canadian Chris Steven, also the best Clipper. He is followed by the German Margarethe Fieseler of Z.B.H. team (2nd) and the Belgian Pieter Vandewalle of V.A.B.I. team (3rd).
The best Showman (presentation), Bernard Jacques, comes from The Great Duchy of Luxemburg. He is also the best Judge and is followed by 2 Canadians : Mauranne Hebert and Chris Steven.
Among the 134 candidates, 17 were aged 13 to 16 and some of them where not higher than a hound dog’s tail on the point. Since 5 o’clock in the morning they were ready and prepared their animals following the advices of the olders. Their performances were of high quality : Tiede Mazereel, best judge younger than 16 is at the 16th position in the overall ranking.
A new price, for the leader of the most deserving young people, has been won by Agueda Capon Fernandez (Espagne).
The team of the trainers welcomed 2 recent recruted persons : Jonas Melbaum (Germany) and Marcel Egli (Switzerland). With Jonas Pussemier they are now 3 to have attended the E.Y.B.S.
The Judge, Daniel Brochu and his wife, from Milibro Farm (Quebec) have been impressed by the level of presentation, the heifers’ quality, the work and the energy demonstrated by all these young people and also by the organization which was put in place.
